The final eight order was smashed after the first round of the North Coast8ball Grand Final playoffs and proved what an outstanding comp it was.

The top two home and away teams Dangerous D,s and  & P along with the Cellar Dwellers were belted in the first knockout round and consigned to playing off for 4th - 6th spots after looking finals contenders after great seasons. However the closeness of the comp shone through as the 7th finishers Evolution and 8th finisher P,s& Q,s took them out and turned everything on it's head.

It was a super dy and once again proved the concept of all teams competing on Grand Finals day a real winer.

Thanks to NSW8ball for providing food platters on the day for players it was greatly appreciated although the value of the Coolangatta Hotels platters remains in question. A change in management is causing a few simple concerns. Asking a young boy to vacate the premises when he was sitting quietly with his mum watching the pool was totally over the top and a major concern to us as it effectictively bans any juniors wishing to play in our comp and something we will have to look long and hard at as we attempt to strengthen 8ball on the North Coast. Asking thirty something players to wear over 18 wrist bands was totally lacking in common sense. Our competition is as a private function what happens if you wanted to have a 50th birthday and have all under 18 children and grand children barred. HMM.

More to come.

Sunday 31st March Coolangatta Hotel 10.00am start.

North Coast Summer Grand Final day

The format is the same as previous finals days with all teams competing. The top 8 in division 1 and the next 7 teams in division 2.

The prizemoney is the same as last season with $1800 going to the champion team.

The NSW8ball commitee wish all players a great finals day and although their can only be one winner we are all winners playing on a finals day. Good luck to all teams and may the best team on the day win and all the rest of the teams enjoy the experience.

Cheers Poppy,

Match ups.

Minor premiers 3 Dangerous D's and & P face up to P's& Q's in a real danger game for them. Dene Heremaia is back and that matches up pretty well with the minor premiers. Dean McDonald vs Dean Hremaia, Dave Wass vs Wayne Randall and Donny Bishard vs Callum Wade in the top 3 are all touch and go. The 4th spot might be the were it is won or lost. Tough game first up and it will come down to which of the 2 Dean/Dene's can get their 3 or 4 from 4.

Cellar Dwellers take on Evolution with a point to prove after getting rolled in the home and away series and are a vastly improved unit and as long as Damo has recovered from his 40th birthday celebrations last saturday night in Byron I really fancy our chances to square the ledger but it will not be easy as Evolution proved in the earlier rounds with Wayne Worley(not in picture, camera shy), Jack "rabbit" Malone, Irene and Kerry Watt all firing at present. .

X Men got into 3rd spot and will be challenged by last years premiers The Tigers. Pound for pound it is a line ball game. Watty of course is North Coasts benchmrark player but Gavin has slipped a notch and if he doesn't lift I feel X Men might pinch this close encounter. If Watty wins 4 its tight if X Men can pinch a couple off him it may well put them into the winners circle.Terry Jones is in fine form but his finals stats over the last few seasons haven't reached his home and away form, Geoffrey is the key for X Men.

The Scorpions threw their last home and away game to avoid the Tigers I feel that was a major error in strategy as now they have to face an in form Lindrum unit. They would have been favourites against the Tigers but against Northy's Lindrum machine I am not so sure. This promises to be the potentially closest match of the finals. No weaknesses in either team so it will come down to the rub of the green

Division 2

The Captains TT Rebels unlucky to miss out on 8th spot have the luxury of a bye first up.

Sharks vs Assassins could be interesting if Assassins Edward plays at his best, if not the Sharks look a wee bit strong on paper but finals are strange games as we all know.

Snivelling Dogs have improved with each game this season and they take on the much improved Far Cue led by Gary Mullane who is flying but Andy and his boys won't lay down and this looks a real nail bitter in the making.

Last but not least sees the disappointing Show Us Ya Rack up against the Bruns Boys and on paper they look the goods but as stated before if the Bruns Boys bounce out of the blokes they will turn the heat up and it will be another nail bitter.

Round 13 & 14

Note: Cellar Dwellers are 2nd on the ladder all the other stats on the ladder are correct . The Cellar Dwellers are on 11 wins with 22 points and it will be adjusted next week.

1 round to go untill the Grand Final day and 9 teams are aiming for the 8 spots in division one. TT Rebels P's & Q's and  Evolution are fighting out the coveted 8th spot at the moment.

 Predictions

Dangerous D's & A P are Minor Premiers for sure:

Comment: Need Dean McDonald at his best but still the benchmark team and the favourites. very well balanced team. 10.00am starting time could be a minus. The happy hooker and master Donny are at their best in the late night hours. Darren Brand is at the top of his game and Dave Wass is the rock of the team. Might throw $100 on the bar before we start any donations? Drew on monday and have drifted in the betting slightly but stay the favourites.

Odds 9-4

X Men look the favourites to run 2nd.

That changed after their draw with Dangerour Dee's and are now 4th and hvae blown out to 7-1.

Comment: Good side and will be hard to beat from the draw, Geoffrey and Terry are the keys, Terry has been a bit fragile in the finals to date and if they leave Silver running the bar on his own it's a big ask to be at his best. Dingo, Kiwi Al and the fish and chip king Rodney Bechaz are all too good to rule out. Jury's out but can win at their best.

Ods 7-1

The picture is Poppy over the last 13 rounds, big change I am on top of my game again and with that the Cellar Dwellers are right up there with form and team spirit. Setting up the finals venue has brought Poppy and Watty undone before but not this time the balls are the size of footballs to Poppy at the moment so beware, my backup of The King, Damo and super Steve  are flying, my prediction we will win.

Cellar Dwellers have moved to 2nd on the ladder with a win on Monday and have shortened in the market.

Odds 9-2

The Tigers look like they will finish 4th however with the magician Peter Watt  in their side they will always be hard to hold out, under finals pressure they may be found out but, Gav, Rhino and Joe are all very experienced and will be there when the whips are cracking. Tough draw.

A loss to Lindrum on Monday night has seen the Tigers slip to 6th on the ladder and even with the probability that Watty is out for the last round they will finish 6th unless X Men fall over.

Odds 13-2

Big movers are Paulies Scorpions and they now look assured of 3rd place. They are a very solid unit with Skipper Paulie leading the way on Grand Final day with the inspirational Churchill speech. A speech not to be missed. Paul grabbed to masters in round 14 and is firing at the right part of the season, Rob, Credo and Trent are great back ups and are right in the mix.

Odds 5-1

Lindrum upset the Tigers on Monday in a forgettable game form wise. Lindrum finish with the Bye and must finish 4th if X Men draw or lose and 5th if they win. Northy, Mr Bean, Willie and Dennis are always hard to beat and in the knockout formula off the finals can go right through and not surprise.

Odds 8-1

Mickey Green has slipped in to cover the injury hit Callum (operation) but a 14th round loss has put them in position they may tumble out of the 8 if they lose to the Dangerous  D's & A P and TT Rebels draw or win against X Men. If they make it and Dene Heremaia is back they become a force. Round 15 is the game of their season win and they are in lose and they have to sweat on th TT Rebels result.

 Odds 9-1

Skipper Wayne Worley dodged the photo maybe that was a good thing. With the bye in round 14 they will finish in the 8 bar a disaster against the Assassins. Have been battling for the top 8 spot all year and now they have it good luck to them.

Odds 10-1

The Captain has done a sterling job leading his troops into a real chance of pinching 8th spot. TT Rebels need P's & Q's to lose or draw and them to win and they are in, another team with a nervous round 15 ahead of them.

Odds 10-1

Don't forget Tuesday night next week due to Hervey Bay comp.

In a top of the table clash 2nd placed Tigers took on the 5th Cellar Dwellers with a lot at stake. Damo (far right) and Steve Geraghty (far left) were at the top of their games all night and kept their foot to the floor and the Cellar Dwellers were always in control despite the efforts of Poppy and Kingsley to drag the Tigers back into it. By the time Watty and Poppy squared off in the final frame it was all over (thank god) and the 2 of us had zero wins between us but Watty broke his duck on the night and Poppy stayed scoreless. Joe and Ryan tried their best for the Tigers but Damo Steve and finally the King had all the answers.

Cellar Dwellers 9 Tigers 7.

The Sharks showed a bit of bite but in the final analysis 3 Dangerous D's and & P proved why they will be deserved minor premiers in 3 weeks. The Sharks battled strongly and belied their 10th spot on the ladder but were just out muscled by Dean and his merry men. Darren Brand and Dean whitchurch grabbed trebles for both sides and were their best.

3 Dangerous D's and & P 10 Sharks 6.

P's & Q's didn't do themselves any favours by dropping a point against a very much improved Snivelling Dogs but it goes to show how close the whole competition is. The last 3 weeks will be very interesting for Que's team as they hang in there waiting for Dene Heremaia to rejoin the fray. Brad was huge for the Dogs with a treble while Callum was superb with 4 from 4 for P's & Q's.

Snivelling Dogs 8 P's & Q's 8.

X MEN took on the flying Farcue and at 1-4 down it seemed they were in for a long night at Coolie but turned it around with 6 from 8 and closed it out 2all in the last quarter to grab 3rd spot. Rod Bechaz had a Poppy night with zero with all the other X Men getting trebles. Noel Wynne best for Far Cue getting a treble. Congratulations to Garry Mullane for making the Gold Coast City 8ball City Country side.

X MEN 9 Far Cue 7.

Show Us Ya Rack didn't show much fight and have to go down as the under acheivers for the current season and the they were swamped by Evolution with Irene Watt the star with 4 from 4 in breathtaking form. Greenie and Jude with double scored the bulk of their wins. Evolution sneak into the 8 but front up against the Tigers next Tuesday.

Evolution 11 Show Us Ya Rack 5.

Lindrum kept up with the pace of the top 8 as the TT Rebels slpiped out of the 8 and it may have been a costly loss. It was nip and tuck untill Lindrum ran out the last 4 racks and grabbed a big win Northy and Dennis Watt grabbed trebles for Lindrum. The Captain and Rod Hocking with doubles were the Rebels best, will they grab 8th spot? watch this space.

Lindrum 10 TT Rebels 6.

Hm Rick Slater played in his best form of the season to grab 4 from 4 and lead the Bruns Boys to a victory over the Assassins. The win was overshadowed by a bit of controversy and where a bit of common sense should have prevailed it didn't and the Assassins had to finish the night a player down disappointing but enough said. Kristina Mel and Edward had doubles for the Assassins.

Bruns Boys 9 Assassins 7.

PLAYERS OF THE WEEK: Rick Slater, Irene Watt and Steve Geraghty for their 4 from 4's and leading their teams to victory.

TEAM OF THE WEEK: Snivelling Dogs for fighting out a draw with the higher ranked P's & Q's.

NAME AND SHAME LIST: Zip

Gold Coast City 8ball City Country tryouts (A & B Grade plus Ladies) this Sunday Snooker World 10.00 Start.

Round 11.

Greg is off line at the moment and the ladder will be adjusted ASAP.

The Dangerous D's & A P kept rolling on and are assured of being minor premiers and in the process probably put an end to Far Cues top top 8 aspirations, after a huge weekend celebrating Donnys 50th they were none the worse (well not much anyway) wear and bolted in.

Thank god we don't have to play a team with any girls in it for the rest of the season or Kingsley's stats would plummet. Can't keep his concentration on the game, a natural thing but a worry. Show Us Ya Rack in form after they all played at the Casino NSW ranker on the Sunday bounded out of the boxes and led 3-1 and the Cellar Dwellers were dropping their heads muttering here we go again but once Kingsley got past Annie and Jude all was good and he blasted a superb master and we were home and the win slipped us into 4th spot.

Cellar Dwellers 11 Show Us Ya Rack 5.

The Scorpions came out charging against the reigning premiers the Tigers and were cock a hoop at 5-1 up and talking second spot but hold the phone any team with Watty in is never down and out untill the final frame and the Tigers kicked back and it came down to the 2 skippers Paulie and Watty to play the decider with the Scorpions best result a draw. Not to be and the Tigers stay 2nd and the Scorpions slip to 5th.

Tigers 9 Scorpions 7

Lindrum vs Evolution played and the stakes were high a loss could send the loser out the back door and a win nearly assure them of a top 8 finish. It was nip and tuck all the way through but Evolution grabbed the ascendency when they led 8-6 with 2 to go but Mr Bean and Dennis Watt were not to be denied and roared back to grab a valuable point. Lindrum are 7th now while Evolution slip to 9th with it all to do.

Lindrum 8 Evolution 8.

Back soon hard work watching Robbo play Davis on live streaming at the same time. At the moment it is Robertson 6 Davis 2. BBC Sport-WWW.CHANNELSURFING.NET

X Men were up against the improving Snivelling Dogs but with a top 4 finish in front of them they pulled out all stops although the few games I had a chance to half watch it was only a bit of inexperience on the Dogs part that got them beat. X Men cruise into 3rd spot.

Min was the only Heremaia present for P's & Q's against the Assassins but it was enough and they blitzed. Ques team now sit comfotably in 6th spot and are assured  of top 8 action.

P's & Q's 14 Assassins 2.

TT Rebels keep punching on and they probably took care of the Sharks top 8 chances. The Captains lads are improving every week and are now deservedly in 8th spot and are looking good for top 8 finals action.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Hard to do this because I don't have the individual stats on the night so we will go with the champ Peter Watt as I know he won 4 from 4 and kept his team in the top 4.

TEAM OF THE WEEK: TT Rebels again for punching on and just keeping the dream alive. 7th now and every chance of climbing further up the ladder.

NAME AND SHAME LIST: All good so far.

Round 10.    3rd NSW tryout at Casino this Sunday.

The ladder as it stands has the Dangerous D's clearly on top after winning 11-5. Tigers stay 2nd after wiinning. Scorpions move to 3rd, X Men 4th, Cellar Dwellers move to 5th with Lindrum the big mover dropping to 6th. Evolution and TT Rebels drawing and P's & Q's getting the bye see them jump to 7th Evolution stay in the 8 as 8th while TT Rebels slip to 9th, then 2 teams are on 10 points  Far Cue and Shrks so the 7th and 8th spots are really up for grabs over the next 5 rounds.

This was the Cellar Dwellers make or break season defining game agaist 2nd placed and red hot Lindrum side, lose and we were looking at dropping out of the 8 win and we were back in it. What promised to be a topsy turvy game ended up a fizzer as the Cellar Dwellers won the first 3 then Mr Bean mastered Poppy then it was 3-1 and at 6-2 Lindrum started to lose the run of the balls and Damo King and Steve G took advantage of everything and we ran out convincing winners. Lindrum have fallen to 6th spot that is how tight the top 10 sides are situated. Good come back from my lads after a dismal couple of performances.

Cellar Dwellers 12 Lindrum 4.

The Tigers kept the leader in sight with a hollow win against the Bruns Boys. Watty with 4 was back to his best, they have a couple of 50/50 games to go in the last 5 weeks so have interesting times ahead. For the Bruns Boys Peter Rauchfuss led the way with a double.

Tigers 11 Bruns Boys 5.

Judes Show us ya Rack were on wood against second placed Scorpions needing to win to keep the dream alive and with Roscoe making a cameo return and winning his first 2 to go 3-2 up all was good but 6 losses straight and it was hasta la vista. Rob Pleming and sub Callum got trebles for the Scorpions and Roscoe was best on ground with 4 from 4.

Scorpions 9 Show us Ya Rack 7.

The Captains Rebels just won't go away and keep snapping away this time against Evolution, both were level on points and it was a nail bitter, 2all 4all but then it was 7-5 to Evolutions and looked all over for the Rebels. Rod got them back into it Rob who was their best with a treble lost but Henry and thew Captain held their hands up and kept their top 8 chances well and truly alive. All the Evolution sharpshooters got doubles when the odd treble was needed but they hang in the 8 with the Rebels 9th.

TT Rebels 8 Evolution 8.

Snivelling Dogs were always in the headlights against Dangerour D's & A P but came hard in the 2nd quarter with a 3-1 result to tie it all up 4 all at half time but it only kick started Deans boys and they ripped through 7 of the next 8 starts to keeep themselves on top of the ladder. Good effort by the Dogs though. Andy and Paul Terilecky were great with doubles while Dean kept up his watty like stats with all 4.

 Dangerous D's & AP 11 Snivelling Dogs 5.

The Sharkies kept their chances alive when they smashed the competitive Far Cue. Josh came back and all the boys shot trebles in another great team effort for the Sharks. The bubble burst big time for Far Cue with big Garry Mullane shooting poppy like figures with 1 from 4 and his boys couldn't take up the slack and their top 8 chances slipped a notch, maybe they were getting too close to glory. Scotty Petterson was back and the best with a double. Far Cue were down 4-5 and on the move but the move was backwards. The teams sit 10th and 11th a win out of the 8 and it all to do.

Sharks 12 Far Cue 4.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK: This week it goes to Roscoe for his outstanding comeback with 4 from 4, good shooting Roscoe.

TEAM OF THE WEEK: Bit biased but it must go to the Celar Dwellers for turning their season around with a thumping of 2nd placed Lindrum.

NAME AND SHAME LIST: All sqaure at the moment.

Note: Against bye team Coolie Gold $32 teams fees must be paid to get the 2 points and 16 wins.

Don't forget round 10 next week is on Tuesday night due to Easter. 6.30 QLD start as usual.

Next Sunday 3rd NSW tryout at Casino.

26th April Gold Coast City 8ball City Country tryouts at Snooker World 10.00 start.

1st 2nd 3rd May Hervey Bay Comp a busy moth ahead of us.

North Coast Round 9

For Wayne Worley for 2 master breaks (from only 2 breaks and Watty informs me he has only seen it happen 4 or 5 times in in a teams event in all his pool career so it was some feat by Wayne) and Evolution for crushing Cellar Dwellers and sending them crashing nearly out of the top 8. Irene assisted with a superb clearance against Damo but the Cellar dwellers kept shooting themselves in the foot by losing games they had tied up. Even at 7-8 down and playing for a draw Kerry left Poppy an easy out with 2 shots and he butchered that. So well done to Evolution they have survived a couple of tough weeks with aplomb.

Evolution 9 Cellar Dwellers 7

P's & Q's were cruising along against the Tigers (albiet an hour after normal starting time) at 5 all and an upset was brewing but some pretty ordinary finishes (thanks Wayne you butchered your finish with 2 shots against Watty to make me feel better) and the Tigers grabbed a much needed 2 points. The top 10 is very congested and only 8 teams will fit into the finals so interesting weeks comming up.

Tigers 11 P's & Q's 5.

Looked like a huge upset in the making when the Bruns Boys bounced out of the boxes and led 3-1 against Show us ya Rack with only Jude getting on top of Rick to save it being terminal. Then Sharon, Annie, Luke and Jude kicked in and shut the Boys down with Jude getting best on ground with a 4 from 4. Fisho pitched a double for the boys. Show us ya Rack are 3 points out of the 8 but with a bitch of a run home but if they keep winning.

Show us ya Rack 10 Bruns Boys 6.

We finished at Twin Towns and I wandered across to Dolphins and Paulies Scorpions (with Mick Green subbing for Paulie) were up against it against Northy's Lindrum team down 7-8 and with Mr Bean looking good against Micky Green who was winless on the night up to that point, I had to go to Coolie but I made a note that at least Lindrum would get a point. Got a bit of a shock when I saw Mickey had sorted out Mr Bean then Credo got a win against Willie (1 win more than Manly has for the season I might add) and Rob had out lasted Dennis Watt in the last frame to pinch a great win and put themselves in equal 2nd with Lindrum and the Tigers and an easier run home. Credo best for the Scorpions with a clean slate and no one stared for the Lindrum team all consistent but not quite enough. Their game against the disappointing Cellar Dwellers next Tuesday will shape both teams season.

Scorpions 9 Lindrum 7

Dean McDonald is keeping his troops on the straight and narrow and they are looking a shoe in for minor premiers but Grand Final day will test his skills to the limit with half priced oyzo and coke the special of the day from 10.00 to 11.00 subsidised by the other 7 teams in the 8. Geoff Atkinson subbed for the Assassins and his treble saved the scoreboard somewhat, Dave Wass just kept up his super form with 4 and trebles to Dean and Darren (the other D didn't flatter and with his 50th just around the corner maybe age is catching up with DB) and even with 6 games to go the Dangerous D's & A P will be deserved minor premiers. Peter Hooker isn't the best at the moment hope he gets back soon.

Dangerous D's & A P 11 Assassins 5.

Jeff Peters kept the dream alive for the Sharks after Josh left them with 3 players and a huge mountain to climb against the Snivelling Dogs who we might have to change their name to the Pups as they threw away  a certain 2 points even after leading 7-6 they couldn't close and Jeff, Ed, and Dean toughed it out to get the cash and keep their slim hopes of making the top 8 alive. Jeff was best on ground with 4 from 4.

Sharks 9 Snivelling Dogs 7

The Captain and the current hotshot Garry Mullane gee'd up their teams for their most important game of their season a win to put either team into the top 8. It was nup and tuck night with 2all then 3 from 4 for the TT Rebels to lead 5-3 at half time then Far Cue hit back with 3 to have 6 all going into the last quarter and the pressure mounting. Mark Morrison and Gary Mullane gave Far Cue the dream start to ensure at least a point but alas for them the Captain capped off a best on ground 4 from from 4 then Rod saved the night and gave them a hard fought draw and left the TT Rebels in the 8 and Far Cue a point out. Intersting times ahead. Mark and Garry with trebles and Rod Pain a double did all the scoring for Far Cue.

TT Rebels 8 Far Cue 8.

PLAYERS OF THE WEEK: The Captain alias Steve Chapman, Jeff Peters, and Wayne Worley all for playing match winning and match drawing games for their teams in vital games.

TEAM OF THE WEEK: Not easy this week with so many great team efforts but the Sharks getting the cash with 3 players stands out for me.

Nil wich is great.

Note: Against bye team Coolie Gold $32 teams fees must be paid to get the 2 points and 16 wins.

Round 8. Playing dates for April will be available to captains on Monday with a couple of tuesday nights games due to Easter and the May day weekend.

3 Dangerous D's and & P  sit on top of the ladder without having to hit a ball in anger due to the falling over of the Tigers and Cellar Dwellers with the Scorpions only snipping a point. Only the Lindrum team stood up to be counted.

Northys lads had no trouble touching up the Bruns Boys and charging into 2nd on the ladder even though it will be only temporary. The Bruns Boys are playing some good pool but just not getting the luck at vital times in games. If Northy can hold Mr Bean together they will be there when the whips are cracking. It's a big if though.

Lindrum 14 Bruns Boys 2

Dean Whitechuch has come back for the Sharks bigger and better than ever with Big Bazza King off to greener pastures in Canberra, it has it`s good points though the NSW masters team has a place to stay with the as of now honorary masters manager. Congratulations Baz. Young Kingy Josh has bitten the bullett and got himself engaged congratulations from us all to the both of you. She must have a big heart.

Ah yes the game against the Assassins could have swung either way during the night as the scorelines of 1-3 3all 6all would suggest, but the Sharks kicked home 4-0 and got the chockies. Dean was the star with 4 for the Sharks, while Edward and new recruit Mel Cassar got doubles, Kristina got one but could well have got 3 for the losers.

Sharks 10 Assassins 6

Looks a bit like me on the black at the moment as the Cellar Dwellers let another golden opportunity against a very good TT Rebels who took every bit of good fortune and converted them. Even at 3-5 we were well in it but at 3-9 we were down and out in Beverly Hills mainly thanks to me with 0 from 4 but ably assisted by Steve Geraghty. Henry Szerszyn finished us off with a master against Steve to claim player of the match honours but it was a team effort from the Captains boys and they move into the top 8 with their deserved win. The King was our best with 3.

TT Rebels 11 Cellar Dwellers 5.

Thought the Scorpions might be a bit good on paper for Waynes Evolution but ah pool is not a game for my silly predictions and this game really went down to the wire. 2 all 4 all 6 all then Wayne and inlaw Jack put the Scorpions to the sword and when Irene potted her last red it was a chance to grab the points but the black was only a 10% hope if that and Rob squeaked in then Mr reliable Paulie Bacon salvaged the draw. The Scorpions wouldn't be too thrilled with only a point though while Evolution after 8-6 would'nt be either. Best Jack Malone again with a treble and Paulie the same. Credo got a double even though Manly lost again a gutsy effort by the big man.

Evolution 8 Scorpions 8.

Thats the Mullane machine at the moment grinning and winning, not grinning when the TT Rebels beat the Cellar Dwellers and cost them the chance (temporarily it seems) of getting in the top 8. Gazza lead the way with another 4 from 4 and even has Watty looking over his shoulder "who is this G Mullane machine" he asked me, must be all the victories over Northy at snooker world turning him into a potting machine. Mark Morrison must now be known as the super sub with 4 from 4 and the Club Banora leader Rod Pain jumped in with a treble leaving poor old Noel the worst with only a double. I would kill for a double at the moment. Andy held his form with a double for the Snivelling Dogs. Far Cue have to wait for next week to break into the 8.

Far Cue 13 Snivelling Dogs 3.

Might have to hand in my tipping license as I thought Dene Heremaia's absence might spell the end of P's & Q's but he might not get a game when he get's back from his working holiday. Show Us Ya Rack after a flying start are really struggling and only the fact they won 4 of the last 5 games gave the score any respectability for them. Callum and Wayne Randall shot trebles with Scotty and Que doubles. Greenie and Annie stitched up doubles for the losers who were without their inspirational leader Jude it must be said.

P'S & Q's 10 Show us ya Rack 6.

Not a monumental upset but it is the first time the Tigers have suffered back to back losses. This time it was the X Men who took them apart. Terry Jones got 4 from 4 and as first player kept the pressue right on the out of sorts Tigers. Pedro was best for the Tigers with a treble while Kiwi Al with 3 and Rodney Bechaz with doubles were solid. With a good run home the X Men will only get better while the Tigers have a fight on their hands to get back in the premiership race but with Watty leading it can happen.

X Men 10 Tigers 6.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Has to go to Henry from TT Rebels for his flawless display with 4 from 4 and a master.

TEAM OF THE WEEK: TT Rebels without a doubt for creaming the Cellar Dwellers and forcing themselves into the top 8.

 NAME AND SHAME LIST: None

Note: Against bye team Coolie Gold $32 teams fees must be paid to get the 2 points and 16 wins.

Round 7

The Tigers have slipped from top spot for the first time in memory when they were savaged by the aptly names 3 Dangerous D's and & P. The Tigers looked morals at 5-1 up but the wheels fell of and in the blink of an eye it was 5-6. Watty took out Hooker to go to 6all but Deano's boys didn't lie down and took out the last quarters 3-1 3-1. Darren Brand took on Watty at 8-7 and completed the great night for them by potting out for the win. No stars for the Tigers Dean and Wassy with trebles pushed them to the top of the ladder on percentage.

3 Dangerous D's and & P 9 Tigers.

The Scorpions took on the mighty Cellar Dwellers in another heavyweight clash. Pound for pound they just had us in the warm up. In the real thing it was one of the tightest of matches you could wish to see. Both sides had their fair share of luck and at 6aa it was anyones game but Damo, Steve (back from a cruisey holiday) and Kingsley held up under pressure and by the time I had to play Paulie it was done and dusted and we are now 2nd on the ladder on percentage. Credo, Paulie and Trent got doubles while for us Steve and Damo made the difference with trebles.

Cellar Dwellers 9 Scorpions 7.

In another heavyweight clash P's & Q's looked out gunned with Dene Heremaia off on a working trip but Vikki and Min put their foots down and pushed the Lindrum team to the the limit. Mr Bean stepped up to grab a treble and lead the way for the Lindrum team. When Min took out Willie to go go 7-6 an upset was looming but Northy and Mr Bean took it to 8-7 for them with Dennis taking on Callum for the win,  shocking game and Callum finally staggered over the line to grab a vital point for P's & Q's.

P's & Q's 8 Lindrum 8.

Far Cue took on the Assasins and they were on a roll and nothing changed on Monday as they kept rolling on and only Kristina and Edward offered any resistance to them. For Far Cue it's easier to say who lost Scotty and Noel on each sorry guys. Far Cue are knocking on the door of the top 8 and Garry Mullane is leading the charge.

Far Cue 14 Assassins 2.

TT Rebels got their season back on track against an inform Snivelling Dogs with only Skipper Andy Apostolidies a treble and Jamie making a comeback with a double offering any resistence for the Dogs. The Captain and Rob Johnson were consistant with trebles and their season might hang on their next game vs Cellar Dwellers.

TT Rebels 10 Snivelling Dogs 6.

Evolution were another team that kept their season alive when the took on the Bruns Boys at Twin Towns newly clothed tables. A night to forget for the Bruns Boys who led 1-0 the 2 all but then went walk about which reminds me must call Dave Smallwood today. Evolution lifted with Skipper Wayno back to push them hard and he was best wit 4 from 4. Jack lost to Rick in the penultimate game to share those honours. Pressure. Evolution back in it.

Evolution 13 Bruns Boys 3.

Greenie was back and he was straight into it with a win over Geoffrey but then Show Us Ya Rack wavered a bit and treble from skipper Jude wasn't enough to hold out Terry's X Men who were toughened up by the perrenial Rod Bechaz back in the saddle, all the X Men contributed for a solid win and are back in the race for the top 8.

X Men 10 Show Us Ya Rack 6.
